NAPIT urges installers to capitalise on RHI opportunities

NAPIT (the National Association for Professional Inspectors and Testers) is advising installers to take advantage of the industry growth generated through the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI).

Forecasts suggest that the low carbon heating market could treble by 2017. Latest research into the UK residential market for low carbon heating products shows that this market will grow from 30,000 installations in 2014 to 90,000 installations in 2017.

Managing director of NAPIT Certification, David Cowburn, said: “Householders are seriously considering renewable heating solutions to combat rising energy bills by switching away from conventional heating systems. The ability to generate income from generating heat overcomes the barrier of the installation costs to such a degree that RHI is proving to be a game changer.

“During this period installers could take advantage of this growth prediction by making sure they can offer alternative solutions for householders.”

Heating engineers interested in learning more about the installation of renewable heating technologies, such as heat pumps, can visit the NAPIT Training website at www.napittraining.co.uk/courses/heat-pump-training-course.aspx to find out more.
