IDS moves to approved status refrigerant supply scheme

IDS Refrigeration has announced it intents to supply refrigerants only to contracting companies who employ engineers suitably trained and qualified to work on refrigeration or air conditioning systems.
'A great deal of industry discussion has taken place on this issue during the past few years, and particularly in recent months,' says Mel Bridges, managing director of IDS.

'After careful consideration, rather than wait any longer for the anticipated introduction of regulatory controls, IDS has decided to take positive action with the introduction of our own scheme.

'This will support the many responsible contractors who have invested in training their refrigeration and air conditioning engineers over the years, and are continuing to do so.'
