Ideal Boilers becomes founder member of support club

Gemma Garnett, the Trust’s Partnership Development Officer said, “I am looking forward to working with the staff at Ideal Boilers. We expect to make the most of this opportunity for all concerned.”

Hull’s Ideal Boilers is continuing its long-standing support for Hull City FC and the club’s ‘Tigers Trust’, by becoming a founder member of its corporate ROAR! support fund.

The Tigers Trust is 25 years old this July. Thousands of local people have benefitted from the many rewarding projects that it delivers within Hull and East Riding. To help raise the profile of its work and get more people involved the Trust has created the ROAR! Support Fund.

ROAR! encourages local businesses and people to help their community by supporting the charitable work of the Tigers Trust and the Trust launched the ‘Corporate ROAR!’ in November 2014 at the KC Stadium to acknowledge the support given by the local business community.

HR manager for Ideal Boilers, Debbie Skalli, said: “Ideal Boilers is delighted to be a founder member of Roar, supporting the valuable work of the Tigers Trust. We aim to work in partnership with the Trust to deliver their general objectives and specifically will be involved in projects and activities looking to prepare young people for the world of work.”

She added: “Being Roar Champions also offers personal development opportunities to Ideal Boilers’ employees through running workshops, volunteering at events and hosting visits to our site, all of which supports our company values and ongoing investment in people.”

The partnership got off to a positive start with a visit from a group of Tigers Trust students. The Trust’s Education Department currently works with 50+ young adults on year-long programmes aimed at improving their chances of employment. The Trust has an excellent record of improving people’s skills and qualifications, and is focused on the final outcome i.e. employment, further training or education.

Gemma Garnett, the Trust’s Partnership Development Officer said, “I am looking forward to working with the staff at Ideal Boilers. We expect to make the most of this opportunity for all concerned.”
