The temperature control hire specialists are combining their fleets of high performance heaters, packaged boilers and specialist steam plant to offer heating solutions suitable for all building types, from office blocks and shops, to hospitals and public buildings, up to the largest warehouses and industrial premises.
The 24/7 nationwide service provides solutions for short-term emergency breakdowns or longer term requirements arising from plant repair, upgrades or maintenance. The combined hire fleet includes electric, gas-fired and indirect diesel-powered heaters, radiant and fan heaters, stand-alone boilers and boiler packages, and a comprehensive range of steam boilers.
Marc White, director and general manager of Carrier Rental Systems, said: “Bringing the heating hire fleets of Carrier Rental Systems and Watkins together gives customers access to what we believe is the most comprehensive range of temporary heating equipment available in the UK.”
“With our combined stocking and supply networks, backed by 24/7 support, it offers customers across the country a highly responsive service that can cater for emergency heating and planned downtime requirements, covering all building types and scales of application.”
An exclusive offering is the CRS 300kW electric heating boiler, which delivers 432 ltrs/min of hot water at 85ºC, with a maximum working pressure of 6 Bar. It has an operating temperature range from +10ºC to +85ºC. The unit is equipped with a control system to accommodate variable loads, lug power connections, and optional quick-release water connections for fast installation and decommissioning.
Another highlight is Watkins Hire’s specialist steam boiler range, now available for the first time through the combined Carrier Rental Systems and Watkins supply network. One of the UK's largest range of steam boilers available for hire, the plant is used by M&E, heating, ventilating and air conditioning contractors and end-user clients to provide total cover for both emergency and planned heating, hot water and process outages. The range includes electric steam boilers, containerised steam boilers, trailerised steam boilers, and static steam boilers.
