HEVAR national show a hit

The first national HEVAR event held on 24 - 26 May at the NEC Birmingham attracted well over two thousand attendees from a wide range of the leading organisations involved in the hvac industry.
Visitors and experts from the heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration industry flocked to the event which was, for the first time, co-located alongside Sustainabilitylive! (the home of five leading environmental exhibitions) attracting professionals in particular from the energy management sector.

Exhibitors were drawn to the new national event from around the world. One exhibitor, Sarah-Jane Hall-White of VIR Valvoindustria Ing. Rizzio SpA, said: 'This was the first time our company exhibited in a 'localised' show ... by localised I mean on a national level as opposed to international ... and frankly speaking it was exactly what we needed and were looking for to obtain information, gain visibility and meet new potential customers. Thank you!'

Jan Thorpe, event director for HEVAR, said: 'The decision to move HEVAR on from a regional format to a national one has been proved the right one. There has been a real buzz amongst exhibitors and visitors throughout the three days, with the combination of an industry led seminar programme and the demonstration of the latest products and services ensuring HEVAR was the place to be.'

The HEVAR Energy Theatre had attendees spilling out into the aisles throughout the duration of the exhibition, listening to a range of topics from industry experts and associations.

Attendees also had opportunities to win prizes. Congratulations go to Dean Hems of Certus UK who won two nights B&B accommodation at the Saunton Sands Hotel in North Devon courtesy of SFL Flues & Chimneys. Other winners at the show were Dare O'here of Merlin Entertainments Group and Jason McLee from Nauticool, both of whom won £100 by entering Quidos's prize draw.

• HEVAR 2012 will be held at the NEC Birmingham on 22 - 24 May, 2012.
