Engineering consultancy Henderson Green is designing bespoke mechanical and electrical systems for a care home undergoing a £1.44m rebuild.
Whitegates, in Liss, Hampshire, is an assisted living facility for adults with learning and physical disabilities. Work has already begun on the FitzRoy care home and is due to be completed by the end of the year.
The three brand new five bedroom homes, which are linked units, have now been constructed to roof level. When complete the facility will satisfy the increasing needs of the residents.
Henderson Green's detailed mechanical and electrical designs include specialist call systems, underfloor heating throughout and hot water outlets, which are fully compliant with the Code of Conduct for Service Providers with regards to the control of legionella bacteria.
The consultancy is working alongside architect Masser Associates from Cheriton, Hampshire and contractor Nolan Davis from Southampton.
