Energy management company Self Energy UK has appointed Daniel Matson as Sustainable Energy Performance Systems Developer under a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) agreement with the London South Bank University (LSBU). 
Matson will work with the Self Energy management team to reduce investment risk for the company and to develop decision support tools and further improve cost and savings forecasts for its clients.

He is based in the UK but will also work with Self Energy's other international offices.

He will be sponsored by LSBU through a Masters programme during a three-year deal.

Matson is a recent graduate from the University of Edinburgh, having achieved a first-class Masters degree in Electrical & Mechanical Engineering. During his degree, he was able to gain some valuable work experience at a number of different engineering organisations, including Rolls- Royce and IHC Engineering Business.

KTP agreements support partnerships between business and universities, placing associates for two or more years, to work on challenging, high-profile projects.

London South Bank University is a leading academic partners, with experience of supporting successful KTP partnerships with a range of companies.

Matson will work full-time at Self Energy but is employed by London South Bank University. He receives university and company supervision, the opportunity to enrol for a fully-sponsored higher degree and also has the potential to develop a permanent position with Self Energy.
