Energetix Group, which develops alternative and efficient energy products, has announced that its subsidiary Energetix Genlec has been granted a core patent by the Canadian Intellectual Property Office for its microCHP technology used in its Kingston appliance.
Adrian Hutchings, chief executive officer, said: 'The microCHP technology is capable of generating 1kW of electrical power while remaining inherently low-cost in initial outlay. We are delighted to receive the patent for Canada. We are continuing to work with CanmetENERGY, the Canadian leader in clean energy research and technology development, to explore promotion of the Kingston product throughout North America.'
