Fläkt Woods gains Carbon Trust accreditation

Fläkt Woods develops, manufactures and distributes ventilation and air climate products, as well as system solutions for commercial and industrial applications.

Fläkt Woods has received accreditation as a Carbon Trust supplier in recognition of its strong track record in designing and delivering high quality HVAC products.

The scheme is renowned for selecting high quality, energy efficient and renewable technology suppliers, while also providing independent validation and recognition of skills and services.

Yan Evans, Vice President for Fläkt Woods UK and Ireland Business Areas, said: “As a company, we have worked incredibly hard to bring the most energy efficient products to the market, while meeting the needs of our customers. However, we are always looking at ways to differentiate ourselves, and having the Carbon Trust name associated with our company is a great accolade and one that should help us secure more business in the future.”

Fläkt Woods’ listing in the Carbon Trust’s Green Directory includes a recent case study at Northcliffe House, London. The project consisted of upgrading 18 belt-driven centrifugal fans, which had standard efficiency motors in the air handling units, with new direct drive high efficiency plug fans. The upgrade will provide a saving of over £3,000 per unit per year.
