Heating and Ventilating

Editorial

As you are increasingly becoming aware, HVR has a daily news web service. Each day, on-line reporter Angeline Albert puts fresh stories up on www.heatingandventilating.net. But that is not all!

There is now a daily jobs update on the website so anyone looking for a new job can go to the dedicated HVACR recruitment section to find just the job for them.

When I looked at the website, to write this, a company was recruiting for sales engineers across the country; a boiler division manager was needed for a domestic heating manufacturer to manage the service, technical and spares department; and a national heating manufacturer needed a national sales manager to run a sales team who focusl on local authorities and housing associations.

And, of course, there is also the HVR supplier portfolio where installers, contractors and consultants can find out what suppliers have to offer.

Plus there is an on-line version of the magazine with archived editions. There is also an area where suppliers can post their press releases on the site.

All-in-all, in the last few months HVR's website has grown and flourished.

Now, installers, consultants and specificers can come along and see us sourcing, writing and loading stories on to the website.

During London HEVAR, Angeline and I were talking to visitors at the show, demonstrating the www.heatingandventilating.net website and registering visitors.

As the demonstration was live, we were placing news stories direct on to the website from our stand at the exhibition.

We intend to repeat the exercise at the Birmingham HEVAR exhibition at Aston Villa Football Ground, November 7 & 8. Visitors to the show will also be able to see us working live on www.heatingandventilating.net.

And don't forget that it you want to hear more of me blowing hot and cold about the issues that I think are of concern to the industry then check my blogs at, yes, you guessed it, www.heatingandventilating.net.

(Not so crustry for someone who started in journalism when typewriters were all the rage and typesetters ruled the roost!)
