Construct, the concrete structures group has joined the National Specialist Contractors' Council (NSCC).
Construct represents 33 specialist contractors with a combined turnover of £1.2 billion in the concrete frame sector.

The addition of Construct brings the number of organisations under the NSCC umbrella to 31, representing over 7,000 businesses involved in the construction of the built environment.

'Construct represents a significant part of the specialist contracting supply chain. By joining NSCC, it has added its considerable weight to our collective voice on key issues such as payment, pre-qualification and training', said NSCC president Hamish MacGregor.

NSCC aims to lessen the burden of pre-qualification and is working with the Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) Forum to promote mutual recognition amongst industry accreditation schemes.
