BSRIA backs ICE BIM 2015 Conference

BSRIA says it is delighted to be supporting the ICE BIM 2015 Conference, Realising the Promise, which will be held on Wednesday 21 October at the Park Plaza Victoria Hotel, London.

ICE BIM 2015 will explore the benefits and challenges beyond the model, asking what can and can't be achieved using BIM to operate and manage assets. The conference will examine a more efficient, predictable and a better informed built environment integrating further BIM practices and maximising benefits for all.

Delegates will hear from experts who are maximising the potential of BIM in disciplines such as health and safety, security, procurement, contracts and sustainability.

The key industry event attracts an annual gathering of more than 400 government representatives, leading experts and senior industry figures. It offers valuable opportunities to network, enjoy focussed presentations and case studies and share knowledge. The Institution's BIM Action Group is conducting the annual BIM Heat map survey and the results will be announced at the conference.

Speakers announced to date include: Ivor Barbrook, head of design and BIM implementation, BAM Nuttall Ltd; Mark Bew MBE, head, UK Government task group for BIM; James Eaton, group head of digital engineering, Laing O’Rourke; Anne Kemp, director, BIM strategy and implementation, Atkins; and Malcolm Taylor, head of technical information, Crossrail.

Marketing manager, Tim Page, said: “BSRIA is delighted to be supporting this conference. As BIM becomes fully realised it has the potential to transform industry and play a significant role in realising the objectives of Construction 2025.”

The conference will be held from 9:00-17:00 at the Park Plaza Victoria London, 239 Vauxhall Bridge Road, London SW1V 1EQ. A reduced rate will be applied for BSRIA members wishing to attend. To book a place visit http://www.ice-conferences.com/ice-bim-2015/registration/
