British flue firm plans to start exporting to the UAE

A1 Flue Systems is set to expand after revealing plans to start exporting to the Middle East.
British flue firm plans to start exporting to the UAE
The company is working with UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) to organise a schedule of appointments in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as part of a plan to supply products made in Nottinghamshire for some of the most prestigious and ambitious construction projects in the world.

It has already appointed a new international sales manager and is working with the British Embassies in Dubai and Abu Dhabi to meet a delegation of leading figures from the construction industry in the UAE.

Director of A1 Flue Systems, TJ Moir, said that expansion through exporting is the next logical step for the company.

She said: 'UKTI is helping us to take this onto the world stage, starting in the UAE as construction there continues to grow at an exponential rate and there's a great opportunity to ensure that Nottinghamshire-made flue systems are included in some of the most ambitious construction projects in the world.

'All the manufacturing would remain in the UK as we're proud to make British products on British soil,' she added.

The move is part of the company's expansion following the recent appointment of two new directors. They have wasted no time in forging ahead with a new export division, which is being supported by UKTI.

Mandy Rait of UKTI said: 'A1 Flue Systems has great credibility for the work it has done on projects such as the Shard - especially as funding for it emanated from the region, and that will go a long way to opening doors and building relationships that will lead to tangible exporting orders,' said Mandy.

UKTI has enrolled A1 Flue Systems in a crash course series of workshops and training to help it prepare for doing business abroad. It is also matching the funding of A1 Flue Systems.

Mandy believes that A1 Flue Systems is well placed to start trading in the UAE and expects that it should reap rewards in six to 12 months.
