BG Controls acquires e-fficient Energy Systems
e-fficient Energy manufactures intelligent voltage optimisation and regulation systems, which are designed to reduce and regulate inefficient voltage supply from the national grid. The benefits of which they claim, include cost savings and a reduction in carbon footprint of up to 25 per cent, and intelligent voltage optimisation and regulation helps to provide a stable power supply, which increases the life span of electrical equipment.

The company manufactures two key solutions, which are the e-VO Thyristor controlled transformer rectifier and the SeR-VO autotransformer. It chooses the technology which best suits the application and the customer's individual needs.

Duncan Biggins, BG's managing director said: 'e-fficient Energy Systems will work in synergy with BG Controls and will complement our existing business portfolio.'

He added: 'Intelligent voltage optimisation and regulation is an effective way of reducing electrical consumption and Carbon emissions. This enhances our offering to our customers and complements our approach to energy saving.'

e-fficient Energy products have a number of features to benefit customers, which includes an automatic internal bypass switch and a manual maintenance bypass switch for security of supply, an intuitive LCD touch-screen display that provides information and enables interaction with the system. Each system is designed for high efficiency and to provide an integrated control solution.

Craig Needham, e-fficient Energy Systems' managing director said: 'BG Controls has an excellent reputation in the building controls industry and together we can offer a fully integrated solution focused on improving energy efficiency.'
