The Swiss company confirms its growth course by achieving this, noting the increase in demand for products that sustainably increase comfort, efficiency and safety in buildings.
Lars Van Der Haegen, chief executive of Belimo, emphasises that not only are the best products and world-class logistics needed to sell this high number of actuators, but employees must continuously aim to offer customers more value. He elaborates: “It's about technical innovations and their impact on sustainability. After all, buildings are responsible for 40 per cent of global CO2 emissions, with proper building controls systems, energy savings of up to 50 per cent can be achieved compared to buildings without.”
A PR actuator was made as an anniversary product to mark the occasion, offering the same sustainable added value for customers. The PR actuator is part of a motorised butterfly valve that is used in water applications, and thanks to a power consumption of only 20 watts, it reduces energy consumption by over 80 per cent compared to competitive products.
“We are proud to look back on 100 million actuators. Our customer's great trust in us and partnerships have made this possible and we want to thank them for this joint success,” Mr Van Der Haegen concluded.
