BCIA takes technical training courses in-house

The Building Controls Industry Association (BCIA) is now managing its own technical training courses.
Delivered by an expert trainer, there are seven courses, ranging from an introduction to building controls and hvac, to the advanced control of ventilation and air conditioning or refrigeration technology. BCIA says they are ideal for people who want to learn the basics or more advanced theory and practice.

BCIA president Ian Ellis says: 'The BCIA has taken this important step to operate the courses itself because we want to ensure that the course content remains relevant to our industry and its requirements. The BCIA aims to deliver and grow the courses, investing in development for the future.'

The courses are part of the BCIA's wider commitment to training and education in the sector. 'We have also recently teamed up with Eastleigh College which is now our Assessment Centre for the BEMS NVQ Diploma. This means we can now offer robust support for trainees and their employers,' added Mr Ellis.

BCIA members receive a discount on training costs.
