UKCG focuses on health & safety

A revised health and safety plan which sets out its aspirations for members and their supply chain over the next 10 years has been revealed by the UK Contractors Group (UKCG).
The plan aims to deal with health and safety in a more integrated way, better involve the supply chain and support UKCG's members' aim to becoming world class.

A new suite of documents has been published to support the plan including:

* A supply chain charter setting out what UKCG expects from its supply chain and what support they can expect from us.
* A road map to excellence, signposting the industry to appropriate best practice.

Chair of UKCG's Health and Safety group Dave Smith said: 'Health and Safety remains a number 1 priority and UKCG aims to continue to provide leadership to the construction industry and strive towards world class performance. The new plan has the support of all UKCG members at the highest level. It refreshes our commitments and we will now work hard to deliver the goals.'

UKCG's plan and associated documents are available here.
