A new online portal from Trane allows specifying engineers and consultants in Europe, the Middle East, India and Africa (EMEIA) to research and design the heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems.
Before building the site - www.engineer.trane.com - Trane interviewed specifying engineers across EMEIA to gain an understanding of their information needs. This research showed that the engineers have clearly defined processes and that they need information and tools that support their decision making during each stage.
The company explained: 'Strapped for time, they have to make decisions early in the process without compromising the value they provide to their customers. With the new site, Trane can fully assume its role as trusted advisor and deliver the answers engineers need in terms of quick responses, design recommendations, technical innovations and literature.'
The site features a dedicated HVAC product selection tool. System selections can be added to a personalized shortlist that can be e-mailed along with key technical information.
Available in multiple languages, the online portal also offers one-stop access to information on Trane systems, solutions and sustainable innovations, including technical specifications.
'The new site provides engineers and consultants with the information they need to design the HVAC systems that best meet the organizational and building needs of their customers,' said Maureen Lally, vice president of strategic marketing for the Climate Solutions sector of Ingersoll Rand in the Europe, Middle East, India and Africa region. 'Engineers can access the site to gain insight on how to improve building performance and explore the latest solutions and technologies.'
