HVCA Publications, the publishing division of the Heating and Ventilating Contractors' Association, has launched three updated commercial and legal contracts - CL21 Conditions of Trading, CL70 Maintenance Agreement and CC8/11 Conditions of Sub-Sub-Contract.
The contracts are to be used as an agreement between the client and contractor or subcontractor, to meet commercial and legal requirements.
CL21, The Conditions of Trading, is an agreement for the supply of goods and services and is intended for use by a hvacr company dealing directly with a commercial end-user. Published in response to industry needs, it combines the previous two separate conditions of trading.
CL70 Maintenance Agreement offers a standard form for use by a hvacr company in conjunction with a commercial client, for either a single property or a portfolio of projects.
Finally, CC8/11, Conditions of Sub-Sub-Contract, is for use by a hvacr firm that is either sub-contracting work or undertaking sub-sub-contracted work.
Deputy head of the HVCA's commercial and legal department, Rob Driscoll, said: 'The three contracts have been updated in line with the amendments to the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996, that came into effect in October last year. The three contracts form part of a suite of commercial and legal publications that the HVCA plans to continually update and add to.'
All three publications are free to HVCA members and can be obtained by emailing
