GTC expands its service offering in the North West

The independent provider of multi-utility networks and infrastructure to the new build market, GTC, is expanding its business operation in the North West of England. The expansion will see the business open a brand-new office in Warrington, which will act as a hub for the new regional team.

GTC’s North West office is located in Chadwick House at Birchwood Business Park in Warrington

This strategic decision underscores GTC’s commitment to addressing the growing demand for sustainable and decarbonised housing solutions in the North West.

Housebuilders and developers in the North West face unique challenges when it comes to the design, build, adoption, and operation of multi-utility services. These include navigating complex regulatory environments, managing diverse utility requirements, and ensuring timely delivery of services to meet project deadlines. The integration of low-carbon technologies adds another layer of complexity, requiring careful planning and coordination.

GTC's new Warrington office aims to provide localised support to address these challenges effectively. By establishing a presence in the heart of the region, GTC can offer tailored solutions that meet the specific needs of local developments, ensuring seamless utility provision from design through to operation.

GTC's one-stop-shop service offering includes the design, construction, adoption, and operation of utility networks for electricity, heat, water, wastewater, gas and gigabit fibre broadband. This integrated approach streamlines the utility provision process, reducing the need for multiple contractors and simplifying project management for developers.

In response to the UK's commitment to reducing carbon emissions, GTC has also pioneered the deployment of networked ground source heat pumps. In partnership with Kensa, GTC offers a low-carbon heating solution that aligns with the Future Homes Standard, ensuring new developments are future-ready and energy-efficient.

The establishment of the Warrington office not only enhances GTC's ability to serve local developers but also creates new employment opportunities in the region. The company is actively recruiting for a range of positions, including project managers, engineers, and customer service representatives, to support its expanded operations. These roles offer professionals the chance to contribute to innovative utility solutions in a growing sector.

Lesley Campbell, managing director GTC Scotland and North West England, said: “GTC's expansion into the North West aligns with our broader commitment to sustainable development and supporting the UK's transition to a low-carbon economy. By providing integrated utility solutions and embracing innovative technologies, we are helping our housebuilder and developer customers to build communities that are not only connected but also environmentally responsible.”
