Ellis Training Works celebrates 1,000th student with F-Gas pass
[firstParagraph]
The Ellis Training team is celebrating the success of its 1000th candidate to pass the City & Guilds 2079 F Gas qualification.
Ellis Training Works of Cuffley, Hertfordshire claims to be the country's largest training and assessment centre for the F-Gas qualification which all refrigeration and air conditioning engineers must pass by July 2011 to continue working legally.
The looming deadline has meant there has been a surge in candidates wishing to train and on Friday (Nov 19, 2010) Bob Moody, of Mastercool based in Romford, Essex, learned that not only had he passed but that he was the company's 1,000th successful student. 'I'm obviously thrilled to be qualified,' said Bob. 'The training I received from ETW really was outstanding and I would urge anybody who has not yet done so to sign up quickly.'
John Ellis of Ellis Training Works which also runs a full training programme on all aspects of the installation, commissioning, servicing and maintenance of refrigeration, air-conditioning and heat pump systems, explained: 'The F-Gas qualification has been introduced in a bid to reduce emissions of green house gases and all engineers carrying out work on units containing HFC refrigerants must be qualified. Anyone who does not have this qualification by next July will be working illegally so it is incredibly important.
'Obviously I'm thrilled that we've been able to help so many engineers qualify and I think our incredible pass rate of 97 per cent is a great testimony to the hard work of everyone at Ellis Training Works.'
