Danfoss launches MIS 3005 training

Danfoss Heat Pumps UK has introduced a bespoke training course designed to help approved installers with the understanding and interpretation of the new version of the MIS 3005 standard, which is essential for compliance to the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS).
Training sessions are being held in Sheffield, Denham, Tredegar, Perth and Strathclyde.

Stephen Bancroft, lead trainer at Danfoss Heat Pumps UK, said: 'This training is designed to assist installers with complying with the requirements of the MCS scheme. It will also ensure that sizing and installation of heat pumps is carried out to an agreed standard.'

The updates to MIS 3005 affect the method of sizing of the heat pump and calculation of heat loss in a building. With the Renewable Heat Incentive now available for non-domestic installations, the updates to MIS 3005 were seen as essential to ensure a standard for renewable energy efficient system measurement.
