A1 Expo, a specialist in small-diameter flue components and flue liner, has appointed Ben Hall as its new national sales manager.
Mr Hall has joined the business from a previous role in corporate hospitality and community liaison at ice hockey team the Sheffield Steelers.
He will be responsible for developing key accounts for A1 Expo, which sells a range of products including twin-wall insulated flue systems, single-wall flue systems, cowls, chimney fans, core vents, stove fans and carbon monoxide detectors.
Mr Hall has already hit the ground running for the firm, which is located in Ollerton, near Newark, on the same site as its parent company, A1 Flue Systems.
Mr Hall explained: “A1 Expo presents a very different challenge from my previous role for the Steelers, but it’s a great opportunity, and my experience of dealing with sponsors is already helping me to open doors and forge new relationships with large customers.
“The setup at A1 Expo is excellent and the quality of the products is second to none, which means we have a strong proposition for chains of merchants that supply installers of small-scale chimney systems and for retailers that sell wood-burning stoves.”
Mr Hall has been put through an intensive training programme, which included attending the HETAS H002 course.
Director TJ Duncan-Moir said that Mr Hall was recommended to A1 because of his skills in corporate sponsorship.
He commented: “A1 Expo is still in its infancy as a business, but we recognise that there’s massive potential to build a sizable market share very quickly by supplying flues, fixings and lining directly or indirectly to the domestic market.
“Ben brings a different, more professional dimension to the role, and the fact that he is new to the industry has been well received by new and existing A1 Expo customers.”
