BENEFITS

The Armstrong IPC 11550 controller reduces the energy consumption of Central Chilled Water Plants by managing component output for optimal system-wide efficiency.

ECO*Pulse™ is an HVAC Performance Management service for improving and maintaining chilled water plant efficiency.  Using ECO*Pulse, Armstrong was able to point out that the cooling towers were not receiving adequate airflow.

After that issue was addressed, the system efficiency improved to 0.65 kw/ton. Energy savings for the first 3 years are on track to reach $722,000.
