Strong growth for Pacifica Group

Pacifica Group, one of the UK’s leading home services firms, is on track for continued growth and expansion after reporting a record year.

Kevin Brown, group managing director of Pacifica Group.

The Group, which is headquartered in Houghton le Spring, saw turnover rise to £27.2m in 2017, up from £24.2 in 2016. Its staff count also grew significantly as it currently employs in excess of 480 employees, including more than 250 field-based engineers, who handle 4,500 jobs each week.

Pacifica Group has enjoyed a strong 2017, buoyed by a landmark, eight-figure contract win with energy supplier npower and the acquisition of a number of businesses, including domestic and white goods repair firm Megan Technical Services.

In addition, Pacifica Group is expecting to increase the number of completed service calls to 230,000 from the firm’s current 200,000 annual average.

The Group comprises Pacifica Home Services, Pacifica Appliance Services and UK Warranty. Its flagship brands, 0800 Repair Gas and 0800 Repair, form part of Pacifica Home Services and Pacifica Appliance Services respectively.

0800 Repair works with a number of the largest manufacturers and retailers in the UK, with its network of engineers repairing and installing a wide range of domestic appliances, including washing machines, fridges and cookers.

0800 Repair Gas specialises in the repair, maintenance and installation of heating systems, including boilers, renewable systems and insulation services.

Kevin Brown, group managing director of Pacifica Group, said: “It has been a record year for the Group, which bodes well for the future of the company as we gear up for further expansion. It is a testament to the hard work of our field-based engineers, back-office teams and management, who have dedicated themselves to providing a continued high level of customer service to our clients. This has led to the delivery of more work and projects to our customers, as well as securing significant contract wins.

“The Group’s strategy for expansion is progressing well and we are expecting another strong year ahead, buoyed by further improvements to our processes and infrastructure, which will improve efficiency and interaction with customers and strengthen their overall journey with Pacifica Group.”

Carbon reductions for northern arena

Rinnai hot water systems are projected to produce ‘significant’ carbon reductions at a huge indoor arena in the North of England. The company has produced a designed system based on its R290 high-temperature heat pump. This arena regularly hosts large events such as concerts, conferences, theatre plays, exhibitions, live music and other conventions – so the site must have an energy efficient and carbon-reducing hot water system to achieve NetZero.
