Water treatment specialist Sentinel has appointed Steve Goodwin as its new chief executive officer.

Mr Goodwin previously worked for SC Johnson and its subsidiaries for 26 years in a variety of sales and marketing roles. For the past two years he has been chief executive, Europe, at the Deb Group, the manufacturer of Swarfega and other skincare products.

He has extensive experience of product development initiatives and of growing existing businesses and opening new geographic territories.

Meanwhile, Gary Roebuck, who has been at Sentinel for almost 20 years, takes on the new role of business development director. He will focus on the rapidly expanding international business and will lead the development of Sentinel's strong relationships with OEMs in the marketplace and head up the commercial arm of the business.
