Ridgeon Group opens new PlumbStock

A new PlumbStock business has opened ahead of schedule at the Ridgeons Nuffield Road branch in Cambridge to provide a specialist, customer-focused service for the plumbing and heating market.

Ridgeon Group created PlumbStock in 2015 to provide customers with a local independent heating and plumbing merchant across the East of England.

There are now 23 PlumbStock stores and a highly successful 2017 has been topped off with the business winning ‘Heating and Plumbing Merchant of the Year’  in the Builders' Merchants News (BMN) Awards.

Every PlumbStock branch has a delivery vehicle and offers same or next-day delivery. Experienced industry staff offer great local knowledge of customers and products and exceptional customer service.

Mark Johnson, Ridgeons branch manager at Nuffield Road, said: “Our new PlumbStock has opened one month ahead of schedule and we’re really pleased to be able to offer a dedicated service for local heating and plumbing tradespeople.

“We’ll be holding lots of supplier events and demos so that our customers can see the great range of products we have in stock and can meet our knowledgeable team.”

In Cambridge, Ridgeon Group has already opened a standalone PlumbStock store at Unit 6, Clifton Road. There is also a PlumbStock trade counter inside the Cromwell Road branch.

The new PlumbStock at Nuffield Road is part of the branch’s major refurbishment programme. New exterior signage has also been revealed and in January, the branch will open a brand new kitchen and bathroom showroom.

In Spring 2018 another PlumbStock trade counter will open at Ridgeons’ new flagship branch in Norman Way, Cambridge, before the existing Cromwell Road branch closes.

Carbon reductions for northern arena

Rinnai hot water systems are projected to produce ‘significant’ carbon reductions at a huge indoor arena in the North of England. The company has produced a designed system based on its R290 high-temperature heat pump. This arena regularly hosts large events such as concerts, conferences, theatre plays, exhibitions, live music and other conventions – so the site must have an energy efficient and carbon-reducing hot water system to achieve NetZero.
