Queen honours Peace with CBE
[firstParagraph]
The British Property Federation's chief executive Liz Peace has made the Queen's New Years honours list with a CBE for services to the property industry.
In 2002, Peace became chief executive of the BPF with a remit to raise the profile of the commercial property industry in the eyes of the government and the media. She counts amongst her specific successes a string of improvements to planned legislation and regulation in the areas of taxation and planning. The Queen has recognised several high profile property figures in her new year's honours list, with Scottish Property Federation vice chairman Kenneth Ross (chief executive of Elphinstone Group), also receiving a OBE for his services to the construction industry. Other industry professionals honoured include some of BPF members' leading representatives. Andrew Wyatt, chief executive of Quintain Estates, received an OBE for his contribution to the commercial property industry and Stewart Milne, chief executive of the Stewart Milne Group, was awarded a CBE for his services to the Scottish house building industry.
