Plumbase makes key appointments

National plumbing and heating merchant Plumbase has made two key appointments. Alan Penny has joined as commercial manager and Mark Gibbon is the new national showroom business development manager.
Mr Penny has 20 years' experience in the industry, working with national merchant businesses, most recently specialising in renewables and water conservation. As commercial manager he will shape and implement a sales strategy designed to maximise profits and will work with suppliers to develop the right product choices now and in the future.
With 23 years in the industry, Mr Gibbon has worked with several sanitaryware manufacturers and in the national merchant trade. His role within Plumbase will be to optimise the performance of its showrooms. He will also introduce a new installers' incentive scheme designed to increase footfall, sales and profitability.
