EIC is set to boost its facilities management services with the opening of a new Eastern regional headquarters.

The new Ipswich office will specialise in engineered facilities management services to add to EIC's existing m&e design and installation services.

Facilities management specialist Bruce Penrice has been appointed eastern regional director. He will oversee the geographical expansion of EIC and the development of the FM services.

The move will see the creation of new jobs in the Eastern region supported by EIC's head office in Alcester, Warwickshire. It will offer services to clients across Cambridgeshire, East Anglia, Norfolk and Lincolnshire.

Offering a full package - from design to installation, to planned maintenance, this model is being replicated across the firm's network of regional offices as part of EIC's evolution from contractor to service provider.

"EIC has long been known for its m&e expertise and for a long time now clients have been turning to it and requesting FM support," said Penrice.

"It therefore seemed logical to formalise those arrangements through the expansion of the maintenance side of the business and bring in people with experience in that sector", he added.

EIC provides the full range of design, installation and maintenance services to clients across the retail, leisure, education, healthcare, and manufacturing sectors. EIC has offices in Cornwall, Devon, Hampshire, London, West Yorkshire and Edinburgh with further regional offices around the UK providing a national network of coverage.
