A new way of working for the M&E industry

Collabor8 (www.collabor8online.co.uk) is a new online project management collaboration tool, developed to help M&E contractors and specifiers work smarter and more productively.

Designed to meet the needs of the building services industry, not only does Collabor8 enables all project information to be stored it one place, it also allows controlled editing of each document (drawings, specifications, quotes etc) by authorised staff. The result is that there is only one up-to-date master version of each document, with a full history of any changes.



"Increasingly, people are finding that sharing documents by email leads to a confusing situation with many versions of each document - with nobody being sure which is the most recent," explains Collabor8 founder Colin Barnes. "Using a familiar desktop folders-style interface and standard document editing methods, Collabor8 allows the project team to share and amend a single document, clearly and transparently - all fully controlled by the administrator," he continues.

Collabor8 is available as hosted service, so there are no IT issues or set-up costs, and the sensible monthly fee is easily met from revenue budgets. There is also a self-hosted service for larger corporate users.
