MHS founder has passed away

MHS Radiators has announced that the company’s founder, John Bradley, has died at the age of 82.

Mr Bradley's time in the heating industry, where he spent over 50 years, began in the 1970s when he was appointed general manager of Hamworthy Heating.

He then founded Modular Heating Sales (MHS) in 1980, along with his business partner Michael Mainstone. The venture quickly built a reputation for supplying an innovative range of high quality boilers and radiators.

MHS Radiators and its sister company, MHS Boilers, soon became firmly established in the UK. Today, MHS Radiators is in its third generation as a family-run business, recognised as a leading independent supplier of radiators and towel rails to both the commercial and the kitchen and bathroom retail markets.

Reflecting on Mr Bradley’s passing, his son and managing director of MHS Radiators, Ian Bradley, said: “Although my father had been retired for over a decade, he still took an active interest in the MHS business and will be greatly missed by his family and all at the company.

“Amongst his many achievements was establishing MHS Radiators and MHS Boilers as major brands in the UK and those companies are his legacy. For those who knew him, John’s entrepreneurial approach, work ethic and an eye for a deal will be fondly remembered – he was one of the great characters of our industry.”
