Logic4training issues free plumbing career guide

Logic4training has launched The Ultimate Guide to Plumbing Careers, a free guide to becoming a plumber, providing useful advice for school and college leavers, career changers or employers looking to up-skill existing staff.

Logic4training's free new guide aims to assist those who wish to pursue or advance a career in plumbing.

Available to download from Logic4training's website, the guide sets out clearly everything you need to know, including what training to take, how to gain your qualifications and what to do if you want to specialise in a particular area, whatever age or stage you are at in your career.

The guide starts out with a summary of the varied work a plumber tackles day-to-day, noting that it's not just about installing taps and bathrooms; there are heating and drainage systems to plan and install, appliances to repair, and water routing and sanitation systems to sort out.

Covering both the domestic and commercial world, information is also provided on the different routes you might take in order to qualify, from apprenticeships to part-time college courses for older applicants, and options for those with more experience.

In addition, the guide offers useful advice for employers, providing ideas for career development to help keep their staff motivated and businesses progressing.

Mark Krull, director of Logic4training, said: 'We're delighted to launch this new guide, which will hopefully go some way to encouraging youngsters and experienced workers alike to explore career opportunities in this rewarding sector.

'The Ultimate Guide to Plumbing Careers joins our suite of guides, including advice on becoming an electrician and gas installer, plus general business guides for SMEs looking to expand and develop. Logic4training is committed to going beyond the classroom when it comes to helping our customers and the industry at large succeed.'

Carbon reductions for northern arena

Rinnai hot water systems are projected to produce ‘significant’ carbon reductions at a huge indoor arena in the North of England. The company has produced a designed system based on its R290 high-temperature heat pump. This arena regularly hosts large events such as concerts, conferences, theatre plays, exhibitions, live music and other conventions – so the site must have an energy efficient and carbon-reducing hot water system to achieve NetZero.
