LG launches energy calculation tool

LG Electronics Air Conditioning and Energy Solutions Division has developed a new energy calculation tool called LEEP (LG Energy Estimator Program).
The company says that at a time when energy efficiencies are becoming more important, LEEP can help contractors, consultants and specifiers to readily and quickly understand the savings and performance capabilities of its range of advanced VRF products. Based on Microsoft Excel, the LEEP tool quickly calculates an energy estimation model for LG's Multi V III, Multi V Mini air source and Multi V Water II water source series of products.

To produce the calculation, the user selects the requisite LG unit and the software will calculate the cost per kW/h and give a projected running cost per annum. This enables the contractor and consultant to give the end-user an estimated payback schedule and also provides valuable information for required building energy efficiency ratings and CSR report requirements.
