HVR Awards 2018: Entry deadline extended

In response to high industry demand, the deadline for entries to this year’s HVR Awards has been extended to Tuesday July 31.

The deadline for entry to the HVR Awards has been extended, giving those in the industry more time to perfect their entries and put themselves in the running for a 'flame' trophy.

The extension serves as a final opportunity for outstanding brands, companies and people across the sector to finesse their entries, gather supporting documents and put themselves in the running for a prestigious ‘flame’ trophy.

Heating & Ventilating Review editor Heather Ramsden said: “With the HVACR industry facing a real transitional period, it’s an incredibly busy time and we don’t want all of the hard work taking place to go unnoticed. A few extra weeks will give companies a bit of breathing room to finalise their entries and get the spotlight they deserve.”

The organisers of the HVR Awards are keen to emphasise that this will be the only extension to the deadline, so those that wish to be in with a chance to win are encouraged to submit their entries by Tuesday July 31.

In summary

This year, the HVR Awards categories have been expanded to reflect the diverse nature of the industry, with the introduction of four brand new categories: HVAC Initiative of the Year, Ancillary Product of the Year, Training Initiative of the Year and the Community Spirit Award.

These join the already established categories: Commercial/Industrial Ventilation, Heating and Air Conditioning Products of the Year, Sustainable Product of the Year, Contractor of the Year, Customer Service Person of the Year and Wholesaler/Distributor of the Year.

It is free to enter and a submission takes only a few minutes using the new online entry form available on the HVR Awards website.

What happens next?

Subject to meeting the necessary criteria, all entries will proceed to the decision-making stage where they will either be reviewed by a panel of esteemed industry judges or decided by an online industry vote which will open on August 6.

The recipient of the highest number of votes or highest score from the judging panel in each category will be revealed as the winner at the HVR Awards ceremony, set to take place on Thursday October 25 at London’s Chelsea Harbour Hotel.

There are a limited number of tickets available for the ceremony, which will provide an unmissable industry networking opportunity in addition to an evening of celebration, so those who wish to attend should secure their seat soon by booking tickets via the HVR Awards website.
