Heat pump industry body appoints new chairman

The Domestic Heat Pump Association (DHPA) has appointed Stiebel's technical director John Felgate as chair of its Technical Committee.
John Felgate from heat pump manufacturer Stiebel Eltron UK, will represent the DHPA in advising and lobbying the Department for Energy and Climate Change. He is a specialist on green heating technologies and government policy and is also one of the founder members of the Green Power Forum, a national best practice body created to help public and private sector organisations drive down their carbon emissions. He has also advises the government on policy in his capacity as a member of BEAMA.

Mr Felgate, who has 10 years of experience in the renewable energy industry, was nominated as chairman by his peers and will stay in the role for a year, with the potential to continue.
