The renewables industry is desperate for the Government to deliver in 2013, according to Dan Caesar, managing director of the Renewables Roadshow.
'When the coalition came to power in 2010, they termed themselves the 'Greenest Government ever'. Two years into their tenure and all of the thousands of industry stakeholders we work with believe that the time for talk is over, Government must deliver next year.'
Furthermore, Mr Caesar argues, there is incredulity among industry members about the cutting of the Feed-in Tariff and the 'damp-squib' launch of the Green Deal. He said: 'In the UK we have an extraordinary opportunity. We have supply, with the products and people ready to deliver energy efficient technologies, and we have demand, with millions of homeowners desperate to save energy and money. It should be a win-win situation, but as of yet the Government have been unable to join the dots and this cannot continue.'
The award-winning Renewables Roadshow will return in September 2013. The dates are: South-West 10 September; Midlands 12 September; North-East 17 September; Scotland 19 September; South-East 24 September, North-West 26 September 2013.
