Fläkt Woods hosts technical symposium

Fläkt Woods held a Technical Symposium at the Building Centre in London on 11 December 2014.

The event attracted more than 50 key decision makers in the London area and focussed on the company’s new ReCooler HP, which was on display at the venue. This was the first in a series of symposiums that Fläkt Woods is intending to organise over the coming months.

According to the company, the integrated heating and cooling unit generated siginificant interest during the Symposium, engaging an audience of highly qualified building services engineers. In particular, the impressive COP and EER performance figures were at the centre of detailed discussions during an open mic Q&A.

Fläkt Woods’ vice president for the UK and Ireland businesses, Yan Evans, was incredibly pleased with the event. He said: “It’s always beneficial to present detailed information to influential members of the building services industry, especially when we have such a great product in the ReCooler HP. The performance of the unit speaks for itself and, by having a couple of excellent project references, allowed everyone to fully understand exactly how an installation can benefit a site.'

He added: “We’ve already had discussions with a number of engineers who are keen to see how they incorporate the ReCooler HP unit into their upcoming projects, so we’re looking forward to a successful start to the New Year.'

As part of the Symposium, members of the Fläkt Woods technical and sales team discussed a key case study at Sheffield Hallam University, where a ReCooler HP unit was specified alongside an eQ Air Handling Unit. The installation included the replacement of a natural ventilation system in the refurbishment of Arundel Building in the University City Centre Campus.
