Held in June, Fläkt Woods says that its second Energy Efficiency Symposium was a resounding success, with more than 50 guests attending the event at the Building Centre in London.
On Thursday 18 June guests were invited to join the Fläkt Woods team and guest speaker Professor Tim Dwyer to learn more about the critical issue of indoor air quality (IAQ) and good ventilation in schools and education facilities.
Yan Evans from Fläkt Woods said: “It was great to have esteemed CIBSE technical editor, Professor Tim Dwyer, deliver the CPD presentation at the symposium. Attendees were given the opportunity to gain CPD credits, whilst learning more about the importance of IAQ in the education sector.
“Following the CPD presentation, guests were also invited to participate in a Q&A session with our in-house experts and discuss energy efficient solutions, such as our new eCO PREMIUM energy recovery unit.
The free symposium followed this years’ launch of Fläkt Woods’ innovative eCO PREMIUM energy recovery unit, which is a key solution for schools in particular, where the pressure on ensuring the wellbeing of children and teaching staff has heightened.
eCO PREMIUM has been specifically developed to assist schools in meeting increasingly stringent government guidelines, while also cutting operating costs. The unit is capable of recovering 85 per cent of the thermal energy, making it a highly efficient low carbon solution.
Yan added: “We’ve had some great feedback, and we will certainly be looking at holding further symposiums later this year around other key issues in the ventilation arena.”
