CIC partnerships offers e-learning opportunities

The Construction Industry Council (CIC) has announced a partnership with Accredex, e-learning and accreditation experts, to help provide e-learning for industry professionals.

In the coming months CIC will be working across its membership and network to identify gaps in the training market which it will seek to address. E-Learning can provide a flexible platform for the industry to tackle training needs whilst also fitting in with work and lifestyle.

Accredex are e-Learning and accreditation experts and have combined the experience of industry professionals across the field and have partnered with the top providers of e-learning and virtual learning services to deliver affordable, high quality and creative solutions to businesses from all sectors. Accredex’s e-learning courses are described as cost effective, efficient and are focussed on making it easier for professionals to become accredited.

The first course to be released is a ground-breaking ‘Managing Procurement Fraud’ course that will help protect brand reputations and could potentially reduce businesses purchasing costs by up to 15% a year. The course includes over four hours of relevant advice and corporate guidance, along with best practice skills and techniques. The second course is planned for early 2021 and will provide a modern online health and safety accreditation course and assessment.

CIC chief executive Graham Watts said of the announcement: “This is an essential part of CIC’s mission and we are delighted to be working with colleagues at Accredex to provide adaptable, relevant training courses for the industry. With Accredex’s technical expertise and CIC’s breadth of contacts across the built environment we anticipate that this will become a robust partnership to help upskill professionals.'

Accredex founder and director Paul Jenkinson said of the partnership “Our collaboration with CIC is a key partnership for Accredex and we are excited to be working with such a prestigious and respected organisation. The introduction of an e-learning channel to the CIC support services enables us to deliver our suite of unique and relevant training courses to CIC’s membership, providing key compliance accreditations to the construction industry. We look forward to working with the CIC team and establishing a long and mutually rewarding relationship moving forward.”
