Bosch Commercial and Industrial Heating has gained Continuing Professional Development (CPD) approval by CIBSE for its Introduction to District Heating training programme.

Aimed at investors, contractors and end users, the new training course covers a multitude of district heating topic areas, including integration of renewable technologies, design considerations, metering and billing, potential carbon reduction savings, grant funding and guidance for local authorities.

As a result of the course’s CIBSE CPD status, it will now join its Combined Heat and Power course in the CIBSE directory and subsequently count towards a delegates CIBSE CPD requirement.

The training course can be held at a company’s premises and can be tailored to meet exact requirements. The programme, which is conducted by district heating experts, can also be arranged at Bosch Commercial and Industrial Heating’s dedicated training and assessment academies at Wakefield, West Thurrock, Clay Cross as well as at its headquarters at Worcester.

Geoff Hobbs, Business Development Director at Bosch Commercial and Industrial Heating, said: “As renewable and low carbon technologies, such as Heat Pumps and Combined Heat and Power (CHP) modules, continue to advance, modern district heating schemes now hold the potential to enhance energy efficiency on a large scale. Our CPD courses will provide investors, contractors and end users with valuable knowledge, practical experience and the skills needed to maximise the performance of a heat network.”

Investors, consultants, contractors and end users wishing to confirm their place should call the Bosch Commercial and Industrial Heating training department on 0300 123 0166 or email training@uk.bosch.com.
