Baxi hires technical services manager

John Smith has joined the Baxi commercial division as technical services manager for Andrews Water Heaters and Potterton Commercial Boilers.

Smith’s responsibilities include expansion of the service network, including identifying training needs, developing opportunities for new service contracts and evaluating the need to increase the number of directly-employed service engineers.

In his former role as national field service manager for another heating manufacturer, Smith was responsible for a team of 250 engineers and regional service managers. Smith began his career at British Gas and has more than 20 years experience in the industry.
