Air conditioner wins Good Design Award

Panasonic Heating & Cooling Solutions' wall-mounted air conditioner, the TZ, has been awarded the Good Design Award by the design evaluation and commendation system in Japan.

An “excellent design” indicated by Good Design Award is a design which focusses on the following philosophies:

Humanity: Creative power for products and conceptual embodiments

Honesty: Insight into the contemporary society

Innovation: Conceptual power to pioneer the future

Aesthetics: Imaginative power for prosperous lifestyle culture

Ethics: Thinking power reflecting on society and environment

Meeting all the above requirements, proves to be a worthy addition to any home. Having recently undergone major improvements to its design, the TZ boasts a smaller chassis at only 779mm wide, whilst still maintaining power and efficiency. The unit is small enough for above door installation, making it auitable for limited spaces. The new chassis design also allows for increased durability and easy installation.

Good Design Award commends how its “simplified compact structure and seamless form enables a clean and timeless design” and notes the “matt finishing helps achieve space harmony goal”.
