Actionair beefs up sales team

Fire and smoke control specialist Actionair has made three sales appointments. Andrew Harrington joins from Jaga Heating as the company's new UK and Europe sales manager. He is joined by new area sales manager Clare Swain, who will be covering SW/W London and the Home Counties, and Dave Harding, who has been appointed area sales manager for the North West.

Mr Harrington was regional sales manager for Jaga having previously served in a similar capacity at Dunham-Bush. He first entered the building services industry in 1978.

Ms Swain joins from Polypipe Terrain where she was technical sales manager before moving up to national branch development manager.

Mr Harding was previously with Gilberts in the role of technical/estimating team leader.

Actionair has been producing fire, smoke and air control products, including a full range of dampers and fan coil units, for over 36 years. It is part of the Ruskin Air Management group that also includes Air Diffusion and Naco.

'These are important appointments for us at a critical time,' said Ruskin sales and marketing director David Fitzpatrick (pictured). 'Despite the ongoing economic downturn, business in the fire and smoke control market remains brisk, although competition and price pressures are intense.

'This means that we need experienced people with the right technical and sales backgrounds to maintain our position at the forefront of this fast moving marketplace.'
