Wilo-Yonos MAXO- Practical standard pump shows proven greatness in high efficiency

With proven technology, powerful performance and the most important control functions, the Wilo-Yonos MAXO is one of the most economical high efficiency standard pumps. At the end of 2014, the Dortmund-based pump expert Wilo rounded off its successful series with powerful new models: the glandless circulation pump Wilo-Yonos MAXO is now available in single- and double-pump versions in the power segment, with a motor output of as much as P2=1300 watts. "Thanks to the high efficiency technology used, the heating systems still work up to 80 percent more economically than a pump without speed control in large residential and functional buildings," explained Wilo product manager Michael Dieckmann.

Peak performance with reliable pump technology

"The Wilo-Yonos MAXO has state-of-the-art high efficiency technology, ensuring visible savings on your yearly electricity bills," commented Dieckmann. An automatic regulation system makes this possible by continuously adjusting the pump output to the current heat requirement. "This means the Yonos MAXO can be operated in an extremely economical manner." However, at the same time it is able to produce peak performances reliably at any time with its proven pump technology and application-specific motor performance: "This makes the Wilo-Yonos MAXO a pump in this segment that is also ideally suited for replacing technically outdated, less efficient pumps with lower performance," stated Dieckmann.

Compact design makes installation easy

At the same time, the Wilo-Yonos MAXO offers many advantages with regard to heating systems: "Even during the installation process, this standard pump impresses with its particularly compact design, permitting space-saving installation," added Dieckmann. "We also developed this model closely according to the needs and requirements of our customers." The outcome has been features that make installation and operation of the Yonos MAXO particularly convenient: the removable Wilo plug enables quick, convenient electrical connection, while the proven "red-button technology" means that the pump is easy to operate. The installer can adjust the set delivery head with a user-friendly rotary knob. "This is how we ensure that end users can rely on individual and extremely efficient adjustment of the pump to their own heating system," explained Dieckmann. The control modes offered by the Wilo pumps are a constant differential pressure for floors and a variable differential pressure for radiator heating systems.

Practical equipment with an LED display

Readability and practicality were also priorities when developing the LED display. The user is shown the set delivery head, the speed levels and error code; additional safety features increase the reliability and durability of the system: "The standard integrated motor protection reliably protects the pump, in all settings, against excess temperature, excess current and blocking," stated Dieckmann. "Furthermore, the system availability is guaranteed by an error detection function." The thermal insulation shells, which can optionally be ordered as accessories (for single pumps), minimise the heat loss via the pump housing and thus further increase the efficiency. "We have made it our motto to 'Go beyond pumps'," explained Dieckmann. "A key building block in this process will be to orientate our efforts towards the requirements of our customers during development and implementation."
