Sensing Precision Limited is pleased to announce the launch of their latest product for the HVAC Duct Leakage Testing sector.

Sensing Precision Limited is a small British company specialising in the design and manufacture of devices used for the measurement of air in the HVAC and other specialist industries.  The core team has many decades of experience in this industry and have all worked for other key players in the air movement and air measurement industries.

Following more than two years of intensive research and development, during which time the company has grown significantly through the addition of production/design engineers, electronics development engineers, the apprenticeship scheme and additional direct labour, Sensing Precision Limited (Formerly Airflow S P Ltd) have launched their latest new product the ‘Air Leakage Finder 150’ (ALF150).

The New ALF150 is a ductwork leakage tester for the HVAC market capable of testing ductwork in accordance with DW143 and DW144 for pressure classes A-D, developing static pressures from -2500Pa to +2500Pa and flow rates from 1 to 150l/s, giving around 140l/s for Class A and up to 70l/s for Class C/D tests.

Supplied with three easy to change conical inlet nozzles (65mm, 35mm, and 15mm diameter) designed in accordance with ISO5801:2007 to give an accurate flow reading from a primary device.

The instrument supplied with ALF150 has been specifically designed for the task and tailored to both control the fan speed while displaying both the leakage rate and static pressure.  Ease of use has been maintained along with a retro feel both to pay homage and to provide a simple upgrade path from the ubiquitous duct leakage testers of the past, which utilised multiple conical inlets and are seen as the mainstay in the sector for the last few decades.

This product represents the third clean sheet project development and launch since the appointment of the new management team in 2012.  ALF150 has closely followed the introduction of the Eco Radial Flowgrid (Highly accurate, very competitive, multipoint flow measuring grid for the HVAC industry) and Eco Flow Probes (low cost x-grid type device for small ducts).  ALF150 is perhaps more striking though as it is the first to utilise the recently added electronic development resource within the business. 

The launch of ALF150 therefore marks a key milestone in the he transformation of the company from just the supplier and manufacturer of ‘Best in Class’ front end airflow measurement devices like the Wilson Flowgrid, to a full solution provider.  This means the first stage of internal operational improvements has been completed, which has included the introduction and implementation of an ERP system.  This now allows Sensing Precision to move forward to offer calibration services for Pressure, Velocity and Flow, while continuing to plan, develop and launch many more new products which complement our core front end devices in the coming months and years.
